Hot Melt Glue Manufacturer with a Personal Touch

As a leading hot melt glue manufacturer, Bond Tech has worked for years to innovate in the hot melt category. Be it a PSA, EVA or Metallocene Hot Melt, we have the knowledge and know-how. Many hot melt adhesive manufacturers claim to corner the market, but few have as much expertise in hot melt adhesive formulations including, but not limited to, EVA, PSA and metallocene as Bond Tech does. Our adhesive audits help determine the right hot melt product for your personal project or business.

What are hot melt adhesives?

Hot-melt adhesives are solvent-free, thermoplastic materials that are supplied in a solid chicklet, or block form, and applied in the molten state at temperatures varying from 120°C to 180°C / 250F to 350F.

Bond Tech carries a versatile line of hot melt adhesives to suit any application. From product assembly to food packaging, Bond Tech will recommend a hot melt adhesive to suit your exact commercial requirements, including:

Advantages of Using Bond Tech Hot Melt

Bond Tech’s hot melt delivers many advantages because our products are:

  • No char, which reduces line and nozzle clogging and lowers maintenance costs*
  • Available in formulations that work at low temperatures
  • Operator friendly with low to no odour
  • Able to bond to a wide range of substrates
  • Clean machining
  • Improved mileage
  • Approved by CFIA and FDA

Metallocene based hot melts

Premium hot melts that can be used in a wide variety of applications such as packaging and general product assembly. These products feature no char, no odour, no smoke, less down time, better mileage, wider service temperature and excellent bonds.

Application Temperatures: 250-375°F
Viscosities (@350°F): 800cps-5000cps
Set speeds: 1 second-15 seconds
Form: Chiclets, Drums (bulk unloader)
Packaging: 50Lb/22.7KG boxes

EVA based hot melts

EVA based hot melts are versatile adhesives that can be used in a variety of applications such as bookbinding, packaging, woodworking and general product assembly.

Application Temperatures: 250-375°F
Viscosities (@350°F): 1000cps-5000cps
Set speeds: 1 second-15 seconds
Form: Chiclets, Drums (bulk unloader)
Packaging: 50Lb/22.7KG boxes

SIS, SBS and rubber-SEBS based (pressure sensitive) hot melts

Pressure sensitive hot melts exhibit excellent flexibility at low temperatures because they do not solidify to form a solid material and remain tacky. A bond is created by applying pressure to the bonded materials. These hot melts are applied and mated after the adhesive has cooled or while the adhesive is still hot. Typical applications include bookbinding, hygiene products, packaging, product assembly, credit card and mailers (fugitive and remoistenable) application.

Application Temperatures: 325-375°F
Viscosities (@350°F): 400cps – 9000cps
Set speeds: Not applicable
Open time: >2 minutes
Form: Block-in trays, chicklets
Packaging: 50LB/22.7KG Boxes

APAO based hot melts

APAO adhesives are used where an application requires good heat, acid or fuel resistance. APAOs are non-crystalline adhesives that remain flexible and tacky, giving longer open times and good adhesion. Typical applications include product assembly, packaging, hygiene products and wood working.

Application Temperatures: 325-375°F
Viscosities (@350°F): 900cps – 9000cps
Set speeds: Not applicable
Open time: >2 minutes
Form: Block-in trays, chicklets
Packaging: 50LB/22.7KG Boxes
